W3 Statistics Provider 3.4

W3 Statistics Provider is designed for a large number of Web servers. The system can be scaled up or down as required and can cope equally well with a hundred or a million Web sites. At the same time each individual statistic can be assigned to any user.

Sample application
Since December 2004 T-Com has been using the W3 Statistics Provider for all Web-hosting customers. W3 Statistics was installed on a multilevel cluster system so it can easily provide up to 1,000,000 T-Com customers with all conceivable statistical information at their Web sites. Data acquisition
Although W3 Statistics Provider allows you to decide whether to acquire data by means of the pixel method or log files, it is certainly advisable to use the log files if you are dealing with a larger number of Web sites/customers. A customized adaptation for the acquisition of special log data is also available as an option.

Platform
W3 Statistics Provider is available for Intel/AMD x86-based computers under Linux or Windows 2003 Server. The databases used are MySQL 4.x, Oracle 10g or MS SQL Server 2000, and communication with back-end systems takes place via SOAP 1.1 and XML.
